The Yola is a boat in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The Yola appears to combine elements of a Panga boat (around the 30-35ft range) and a traditional wooden boat, with a twin-engine layout (a rather rare feature from the aforementioned types, as they commonly use single engines).
The design of the boat is rudimentary, consisting of a wooden hull and a small hand rail on the bow, while the deck has elevated wood planks on the bow/front end and around the middle. On the stern/rear area, there are the main controls with a small windshield and an elevated platform, as well as the outboard engines partially covered by dual frames.
The vehicle spawns in a white primary color for most of the body, while the secondary color is applied to the inner side/deck, which alternates between white and blue.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The performance of the boat is generally average to poor. While devoid of excess equipment and being light in weight, the boat is long, resulting in a wider turning radius, especially when the boat is moving at a higher speed. The acceleration and top speed of the boat are considered average.
The boat uses two outboard engines for propulsion and shares the engine sound with all other boats in the game.

Special Variants[]
- In the mission Unfriendly Competition, Victor has to chase down a drug dealer after defeating his female bodyguards. The dealer escapes on the beach in Vice Point on a Quad. If he is not stopped in due time, he boards a Yola boat that is close to the beach. This boat is actually all-proof, and it can be simply obtained by killing the dealer and keeping the camera on the boat. After getting on the boat, it should be taken close to The Clymenus Suite, where it must be beached. After that, it can be pushed all the way to the garage and stored inside it.
Prominent Appearances in Missions[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- The Colonel's Coke - Several Yolas are driven by Diaz' men to intercept Gonzalez's drug shipment.
- Unfriendly Competition - If Vic fails to kill the last dealer during the Quad chase, a small cutscene shows that he is escaping on a Yola, resulting in mission failure.
Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- The Yola can be found by the jetty at Escobar International Airport, next to the lockup where all the boats are exported for the Civil Asset Forfeiture Impound. It only appears here after passing From Zero to Hero.
- The boat can also be seen occasionally on the waterways of Vice City, especially around the Escobar International Airport area.
Trivia[]
