The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, collectively known as the Xbox Series X|S, are home video game consoles developed by Microsoft. The consoles were launched on November 10, 2020. They were announced during E3 2019 as "Project Scarlett".

Description[]

The consoles are part of the fourth-generation family of Xbox hardware, succeeding the current Xbox One line (and, in particular, the Xbox One X as the high-end flagship model). Microsoft is prioritizing hardware performance, including support for higher display resolutions (up to 8K resolution) and frame rates, real-time ray tracing, and use of high-speed solid-state drive to reduce loading times.
