Xbox Series X is an home video game console developed by Microsoft. The console was launched on November 10, 2020. It was announced during E3 2019 as "Project Scarlett".
The console is one of the planned products in the fourth-generation family of Xbox hardware, succeeding the current Xbox One line (and, in particular, the Xbox One X as the high-end flagship model). Microsoft is prioritizing hardware performance, including support for higher display resolutions (up to 8K resolution) and frame rates, real-time ray tracing, and use of high-speed solid-state drive to reduce loading times.
