Wu Zi Mu is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by Varrios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando from an area just south of the town of Montgomery in Red County, San Andreas.

Mission

Carl is waiting for Cesar in the meeting place, who is apparently late for a race. Later on, Cesar arrives, who explains that he is late because didn't know when the race would start. Later, the organizer of the race, Wu Zi Mu (a.k.a. "Woozie"), arrives. He introduces himself to Carl, and tells him that the races here a high stakes, and they may reward the winner with cash or a pink slip. Later on, Carl hops on to his vehicle of choice, and goes to the starting point.

Then, the race begins, with Carl and Woozie participating. They race through different parts of Red County, like in Blueberry and in Blueberry Acres. Then, Carl manages to get to the finish line in The Panopticon first, after Carl wins the race, Woozie congratulates him and makes an offer of partnership if he goes to San Fierro. Both disperse when they hear the police sirens.

Mission Objectives

In order to complete the mission the player must:

Win the race.

The reward for this mission is $5000 and the mission Farewell, My Love... is unlocked.

In addition, once the race tournaments are unlocked, the race featured in this mission is offered as part of the tournament; however, as the player has already completed it here, they receive credit for it and do not need to do it again (except to improve their time).

Transcript

Carl Johnson is at the meeting spot south of Montgomery, waiting for Cesar Vialpando to arrive.

CJ:

Man, where is this guy?

Moments later, Cesar arrives.

CJ:

Hey, I've been waiting forever, man. Where the hell you been?

Cesar:

Sorry, holmes, I had no idea when the race would be.

CJ:

Riiight - you just happened to show up five minutes after everybody else, huh?

Cesar:

When the gasoline runs through your veins like the burning passion, you know when it's time to race!

CJ:

I think you're getting high on that country air, man!

Cesar:

Hey, CJ, look...

Wu Zi Mu approaches CJ and Cesar with a bodyguard and a few women.

Woozie:

You haven't been to one of our meets before, where you from, friend?

CJ:

I'm from Grove Street Families, Los Santos. What's happening?

Woozie:

Relax. This isn't a parade, pal. But, you know, we gotta be careful. Wu Zi Mu, but my friends call me "Woozie". How you doing?

CJ:

Wha...? CJ, Carl Johnson.

Woozie:

Listen, out here we like to race for cash or pink slips - racer's choice. Get your car started, we're about to go. Good luck, Carl Johnson.

Woozie walks off.

Cesar:

There's something real strange about that dude, man. Be careful, CJ!

CJ:

For sure, man.

CJ, Woozie and two other racers race through the countryside in Red County, going through Blueberry and Blueberry Acres, before finishing the race at the Panopticon. At the finish line, CJ is seen admiring his prize - a ZR-350.

CJ:

Oooh, yeah!

Woozie:

You drive with style, Carl Johnson - and I never mind losing to a guy who's willing to push himself right to the edge. As for me, I'm a man who honors his bet.

Woozie gives CJ his reward money.

CJ:

Well, you learn pretty fast with the police on your ass.

Woozie:

Listen, it's best if we clear the hell out of here as soon as possible because, for some reason, the local police don't appreciate our noble sport.

CJ:

Yeah. Thanks for the advice.

Woozie:

OK, I gotta go. Uh, you know what? If you ever find yourself in San Fierro, give me a call, maybe we can do a little business together.

CJ:

Yeah, I might just do that.

Police sirens echo in the distance.

Woozie:

I guess that's our wake-up call. Nice meeting you.

CJ and Woozie leave.

Trivia

Claude, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto III, can be seen in the background during the opening cutscene.
The song playing during the opening cutscene is "Smokin'" by Boston. This song can also be heard on the in-game radio station K-DST.
No matter which vehicle the player chooses at the beginning of the mission, Carl is seen with a ZR-350 during the ending cutscene. This is the car he wins off Woozie, which is why he happily swipes the rear wing. The ZR-350 is also the car Carl uses in the next mission.
- Also if the race is replayed, CJ will drive a black Sabre instead.
Although Woozie drives a pink bulletproof Fortune during the mission, he is seen with a Bravura during the ending cutscene.
Despite Cesar calling Carl to tell him to meet him and Kendl, the latter does not physically appear in the mission.
While reaching The Panopticon, a Walton can be seen driving past Carl, the driver of which is an Elvis impersonator.
