Mills joined DMA Design some time prior to 1997.
He was first credited for being a member of the Quality Assurance team testing Grand Theft Auto.
He then became a game designer credited on Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Between 2006 and 2007, he was promoted to assistant producer.
As assistant producer, he was credited on Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and Grand Theft Auto V.
