Westdyke is a neighbourhood in Grand Theft Auto IV located at the apex of Alderney, bounded by Leftwood to the south.
Description[]
Westdyke is the wealthiest neighbourhood of Alderney. It consists of 50 single-family homes and a handful of shops, including the Westdyke Autos motorcycle dealership. To the east lies a gloomy wooded peninsula, home to the Old Mansion, that overlooks Westdyke Beach. The neighbourhood is also home to the Alderney Casino, another disused building that plays a pivotal role in Grand Theft Auto IV.
Influences[]
Being a largely affluent, suburban community, Westdyke appears to be based off Englewood, Weehawken, Fort Lee and other towns located in Bergen County, New Jersey. The cliffs that separate the abandoned mansion as well as the streets between it and the Hickey Bridge from the West River are likely influenced by the Palisades cliffs.
