The BF Weevil Custom is a two-door hotrod featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of The Criminal Enterprises update, released on October 27, 2022, during the Halloween 2022 (Week 4) event.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The overall design of the vehicle is seemingly based specifically on a VW Beetle Rat Rod that first appeared on the Woodward Dream Cruise in 2012.
The vehicle is essentially a heavily modified Volksrod variant of the Weevil, having the fenders removed due to the larger wheels, a lowered ride height, and a chopped top. Both ends of the vehicle also have the corresponding circular lamps mounted on chrome frames, while the components connecting the wheels are more visible. The front boot retains the same features as the regular version (including the spare wheel), while the interior and dial set are the same.
The primary colour of the vehicle is applied on the upper portions of the body and the cabin, while the secondary one is applied on the lower portions and the outer lip of the rims. A trim colour is also available for most of the interior. It uses a larger variation of the ones from the regular model, being "Classic Rod" rims available in Los Santos Customs and other mod shops. The rear wheels are also slightly wider than the front ones.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
When upgraded, the Weevil Custom changes from a slow compact car with barely any performance to show, to a fiercely-fast, rat rod-style buggy that becomes competition-worthy in the right hands. However, given its raw power, it has high bouts of wheelspin and spins out rather easily when turning at high speeds. Furthermore, its large, exposed tyres are prime targets for gunfire, unless Bulletproof Tires are equipped. Due to its low ride height, driving over bumps may upset the car into spinning out.
Similar to the regular version and many of the BF vehicles, the Weevil Custom is powered by a single-cam, Flat-4 engine with fully-animated timing belt and pulleys, coupled to a 5-speed gearbox in a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Its engine sound has been drastically changed, being a high-revving and high-pitched sound similar to the one from the Tornado Rat Rod, the Trophy Truck and the Vigilante.

Bugs/Glitches[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Some of the fog light options do not function until high-beam mode is switched on.
- Some of the fog light and brakelight options do not shatter upon being hit or shot, although they will stop working as intended.
- The fog lights on the "Foglight Hood" options also have this issue.
- Applying the "Twin Vented Hood" will cause the applied liveries to be mirrored on its passenger side.
- Pressing on the gas then simultaneously holding brake/reverse shortly after will cause the car to perform a burnout while still accelerating, allowing it to go slightly beyond its intended max speed.
- Any custom option that removes the rear bonnet will actually render it invisible, and can be "opened" as normal with the Interaction Menu.
