Design
Grand Theft Auto Online
The Weevil is heavily based on the Volkswagen Type 1 "Beetle". The Weevil's design combines elements from across the Beetle's production timeline with minimum deviations from the original design. Its rear split window originate from pre-1954 Beetle models and its tail lamp cluster is a fusion of early designs up until the 1967 model. The Weevil's interior is designed within the parameters of the 1950s and 1960s models. The stock Weevil omits the Beetle's running boards (which can be restored at Los Santos Customs) and sports simplified bumper designs not seen on any production model Beetle. While sharing some of the initial features from its off-road equivalent, the Injection, the Weevil appears to be entirely modeled from scratch rather than being a direct derivative of the Injection.
The design of the Weevil is simple and curved. The front end features a small chrome flat bumper with a license plate on the centre, while a set of circular lamps with chrome trim can be seen on the outer sides, with the outer ones being the headlamps and the inner ones being amber signals. The bonnet area features a curved compartment with details similar to the front of the Injection, albeit more in-line with the rest of the compartment.
The sides of the car feature wide fender arches, though still smaller compared to the Injection's bulky off-road fenders, while chrome trims are seen running across the vehicle. The cabin area follows the same shape and window layout as the Injection, but various differences can be found between these, being the straighter windows, no inner pillars on the door windows and the larger split rear window with a flatter bottom. The doors are somewhat similar to the ones on the Injection, but makes use of traditional chrome handles and circular rear-view mirrors.
The rear of the car is mostly predominated by the curved engine compartment, which features a vented section above the license plate section and a single handle on the bottom. The fenders have black housings with twin tail lamps, with the upper ones being red lamps and the lower ones being turn signals. The lower area is basically composed of a chrome flat bumper and the twin exhaust tubes below.
The interior of the car is rather unique, featuring a set of "Dominator" dials on the driver side, a vented unit around the centre and a glove compartment on the passenger side.
The primary colour of the car is applied on the portions above the chrome details, interior and the inner sections of the seats, while the secondary colour is applied on the portions below the chrome details. A trim colour is also available for the central mirror, doorcards, outer portions of the seats and inner roof area. It uses a set of wheels similar to the "Classic Rod" rims available in Los Santos Customs, but with high profile tires, narrower rims and wider hubcaps. The outer portions of the rims can also support a dedicated wheel colour, although only examples from Content Creator and the one given as a reward may have one, and would otherwise be dictated by the car's secondary colour.

Performance
Grand Theft Auto Online
The vehicle has a decent top speed and good acceleration, but suffers from its poor braking and traction. Uniquely, the vehicle has the ability to wheelie, only the second non-muscle car after the Tornado Rat Rod (Sports Classics) able to do so, and it can also use this ability to assist acceleration, which is different from the latter.
It shares the same engine sound as the Issi Classic and Brioso 300.

Modifications
Grand Theft Auto Online
Keeping with the original Volkswagen Beetle's reputation as a highly versatile, adaptable and customizable platform, there are over 90 modification options available for the Weevil. The plethora of options allows the car to adopt one or more of a variety of custom Beetle designs, including a Cal-Style VW, Cal looker, hippie art car, dragster, Baja Bug, Volksrod, or rat rod profile, as well as a classic, show car, or conventional motorsports design. The "Blackout Covers" option and camouflage liveries are a nod to the World War 2-era military Type 87 "Kommandeurwagen".

Locations
Grand Theft Auto Online
- Once the player has completed all of Keinemusik's requests as VIP, CEO or MC President, the Weevil will be given as a reward to be collected at the top floor of the LSIA parking lot.
- When entering the vehicle, the game will ask for a suitable location for the player to store the vehicle. Choosing a location will not move the vehicle directly, which is in a similar way to get the Paragon R (Armored).
- The vehicle comes in a white paintjob, with a "Love Machine" livery.
- Will be available for purchase from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $870,000 or for $652,500 after completing all of Keinemusik's requests.
Trivia
General
- A weevil is a kind of beetle, which is a reference to its main inspiration.
- The "Evil Weevil" livery could be a reference to the 1971 Hot Wheels Evil Weevil.
- The Weevil has some references to Herbie The Love Bug, a fictional sentient anthropomorphic 1963 Beetle in popular culture:
- The "BF Cup Car" livery appears to be based on the stock Herbie.
- The "Stronzo Racing" & "Forgotten Racer" liveries both bear resemblance to NASCAR Herbie in the 2005 movie Herbie: Fully Loaded, the latter evidenced by its livery name & both by the sponsor stickers. The numbers on them (52 & 35) are also nods to Herbie's number 53.
- The Weevil's wheelie ability is another reference to the franchise, as Herbie has the same ability.
- In the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website image, the interior appears to display incorrect textures.
- The default radio stations for the Weevil are FlyLo FM, Los Santos Underground Radio, and Soulwax FM.
