Contents
Description
The self-described "home of real rock and roll", Vinewood Boulevard Radio is a radio station that plays alternative and indie rock influenced from various retro rock styles, including garage rock, psychedelic rock, noise rock, and post-punk. The station displays a "party-loving slacker" attitude and is hosted by Wavves members Nate Williams and Stephen Pope, who can be heard discussing their irresponsible lifestyles, playfully arguing, and making social commentary in between songs. Occasionally, Nate and Steve do make a point to listeners not to confuse the station with Radio Mirror Park, claiming "those guys dress way better than us."
It may be based on KROQ-FM, a modern rock station in Los Angeles. However, Vinewood Boulevard Radio is more likely based on Burger Records Radio, as the station overall seems to pay tribute to the Orange County-based Burger Records independent label, and the garage-based alternative rock scene associated with it. Several of the bands on VBR are also either signed or affiliated with Burger Records.
This is one of the preferred stations of Michael De Santa.

Trivia
- The Black Keys' song "Lonely Boy" can be heard during a station ID.
- There are two unknown songs playing in the background in-between songs. One of them can be heard when Nate and Steve do their counter-blessings and when they talk about what was invented in Los Santos.
- Rarely, when introducing "Answer To Yourself" by The Soft Pack, Steve may taunt "We stole your drummer", referencing The Soft Pack drummer Brian Hill joining Wavves in 2013 following the former band's breakup.
