Vinewood Boulevard Radio is a radio station featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online that plays modern rock.
Description[]
The self-described "home of real rock and roll", Vinewood Boulevard Radio plays modern rock, influenced from various retro rock styles and genres, including alternative rock, indie rock, pop rock, garage rock, psychedelic rock, noise rock, post-punk and more. The station displays a "party-loving slacker" attitude and is hosted by Nate Williams and Stephen Pope, both of whom are band members from the American rock band Wavves, who can be heard discussing their hedonistic lifestyles, playfully arguing, and making social commentary in between songs. Occasionally, Nate and Steve remind listeners not to confuse the station with Radio Mirror Park, claiming that "those guys dress way better than we do."
Vinewood Boulevard Radio is most likely based on Burger Records Radio, as the station seems to pay tribute to the now defunct Orange County-based Burger Records independent label, and the garage-based alternative rock scene associated with it. Several of the bands on Vinewood Boulevard Radio have also either signed or have been affiliated with Burger Records.
This is one of the preferred stations of Michael De Santa.
