Vauxite is an underground subway station in Grand Theft Auto IV, in the Liberty City Subway system, serving the A/J Algonquin Outer Line and the adjoining 3/8 Broker Line.
Description
A short distance from the Hickey Bridge in the neighorhood of North Holland in northern Algonquin, Liberty City, Vauxite station is located on Vauxite Street between Ivy Drive South and Galveston Avenue, accessible via two entrances on both sides of Vauxite Street. The station is immediately close to the Linen Lounge, which is at the same block as Club Liberty. The stop is also noted at Quartz West and points south along the lines as an iinterchange station to the E/B Bohan Line. This is presumably due to the fact that the E/B line stations Frankfort High and Frankfort Low are located a very short distance to the northeast from Vauxite.
The station is notable for its depth: nine full-length staircases and one short staircase are required to reach the surface from platform level. This is due to the fact that the aforementioned Frankfort Low station is located at intersection of Wardite Street and Frankfort Avenue: north of Vauxite, the Algonquin Outer Line runs east along Wardite Street to East Holland, so it has to pass underneath the Algonquin Inner Line to accomodate for the latter's station.
The station is unremarkable otherwise, sharing the same entrance and platform design as all other subway stations in the game.
