UnderBoatSign-GTAVCS

The message.

This easter egg is located on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for both the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation 2, with subtle differences between the two.

Description

Located offshore of the mainland, there is a boat moored on the east side of the island. It is close to the 101 Bayshore Avenue safehouse. As the player swims towards the front of the boat, he will swim underneath the boat.

If the camera is adjusted, there will be a sign displaying a message, as well as the "Smiley", as in the same one used in the sign on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

Differences Between the Games
  • The PSP version simply shows the smiley face, with the message "nothing to see here"; where as the PS2 version shows the same smiley, and the text "I wasn't joking, there really is nothing to see here. Go check out the VCN building instead!"
  • This is a reference to the Easter Egg in GTA Vice City, where there is a literal Easter Egg with "Happy Easter" written on it. As much of Vice City is under construction in 1984, so is the egg, with a Final Build Construction crane holding a piece of the egg up.

Bugs & Glitches

  • If another boat is placed right next to the boat and the player dives down, they can clip into and get stuck inside the ship.
