Troy is one of the selectable protagonists in Grand Theft Auto.

As the game follows one storyline, if Troy is chosen as the protagonist he will follow the same story as the other selectable protagonists, including committing the same crimes and murders, and having the same relationships with the Vercotti Crime Family, Uncle Fu's Crime Syndicate, El Burro, Samuel Deever and Brother Marcus.

Troy's appearance suggests he is of African descent.
The only difference between Troy and the other protagonists is the in-game appearance (clothes, hair and skin).
Like the other protagonists, Troy's default name can be changed by the player on the character selection menu. This feature is also used to activate cheat codes in the game.

- If chosen as the protagonist, he commits the same crimes as the other protagonists.

- If chosen as the protagonist, he commits the same murders as the other protagonists.
