- "You might think this is just another fine opportunity to make short work of the stratosphere in a really expensive sports car. And it is - but don't get complacent, because there's a twist or four in the tail of this point to point Transform Race. Starting in Sports cars, also featuring the Besra, Blazer Aqua, Havok, and Akuma."
- ―Race description.
Plummet III is a Transform Stunt Race featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Smuggler's Run update, released on October 17, 2017, during the Transform Race Week event. It is available for up to 16 players.
This race covers the majority of Los Santos, spreading out to the Pacific Ocean and even reaching into Vinewood. It takes the style of the original Stunt Race "Plummet" and its successor, "Plummet II", however now becomes a transform race. The race is a 69 checkpoint long Point-to-Point.
As before, the race starts in mid air, before making a huge incline, changing direction by 180 degrees, and hitting the downhill slope. At the bottom of slope is the Los Santos River. The track leads straight down the center of the river, with stunt platforms raising the vehicles above the water. At the very end of the river, a jump leads cars into mid-air, before transforming them into Besra jets. At this point, a series of mid-air targets are found inside circular props. These props revolve the player round to another incline, before falling into the Vespucci Canals, transforming into a Blazer Aqua, and driving out of the water in La Puerta. Coming out of the canals, players transform into Havok helicopters, enclosed within a large vertical tube which requires control of the aircraft's pitch and roll, performing a steep vertical climb, before flying north towards Downtown Los Santos. At the landing point, players transform into Akuma motorcycles, before making yet another incline and an even steeper decline, leading into the heart of the city, Pillbox Hill. At ground level, a transformation into the Besra leads players back into the skies, hitting more air targets, before quickly transforming back into sports cars, making the final decline, a large jump, and hitting the finish line.
