The container/curtain-side variant of the Trailer[3] is a towable trailer appearing in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

The Trailer is depicted as a twin-axle, medium-sized trailer with two different configurations. It shares the chassis (and in-game name, although never seen by the player) with a number of other towable trailers, with two stands on the front for the landing gear, side guard rails protecting the underside from other vehicles and a rear guard rail with the corresponding circular tail lights, also used on most semi-trucks.
It may spawn as either a container trailer or a curtain-side trailer. The first one has an off-gray, rustic container that is similar to the one seen in the Dock Trailer, while the second one has a blue box with side metallic curtains, evidenced by the numerous straps at the bottom of the box (always closed). Despite the trailers having metallic doors on the rear, neither can be opened up, as they are both solid extras.

The trailer seems to be relatively light and therefore allowing trucks to travel the quickest out of all trailers.
Being a trailer, it cannot be driven, however it does use a shared handling line with a number of similar trailers.

- The container/curtain-side variant can appear during a Supplies Sell Mission involving Phantom Wedges (up to two trailers), which must be delivered to a drop-off to be picked up by a Cargobob.

- Commonly appears around Terminal, along with the Flatbed trailer and Tanker trailer. There are numerous prop box trailers around the terminal.
- Commonly appears towed by Phantoms and Packers on freeways.
- May appear parked on Panorama Drive opposite the Sandy Shores Airfield hangar, along with several props.
- Haulers, Phantoms and Packers often appear towing the trailer around the off-ramps and slip-roads on Dutch London Street in La Puerta.
- Sometimes spawn parked in and around the Murrieta Oil Field.
- Commonly appear alongside the Tanker trailer at gas stations - particularly the gas station near Del Perro Beach on the Great Ocean Highway.
- Can spawn around warehouses and parking lots around the entirety of the Port of Los Santos.
- Can spawn parked outside a warehouse/service area on Joshua Road, just north of Harmony and north of the rail-road.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Can appear in traffic towed by Phantoms, Haulers and Packers.
- Although significantly rarer, can sometimes spawn at Terminal.

- Strangely, this trailer (
trailers), along with the box trailer (trailers2) and ramp trailer (trailers3) has its own individual handling entry inhandling.datin the original Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, namedtrailer,trailer2andtrailerlrespectively, but all three of the models instead only use theTRAILERhandling entry.[4] This data was removed in the enhanced version of the game, where an xml-basedhandling.metafile is used. - Jetsam and Bilgeco liveries can be found in the textures for the container, but are unused on the trailer itself. It is likely these are reused from their respective static prop forms and simply not used on the towable trailers, or that they were planned to be but scrapped from the final game.
