The following is a timeline of events in the canon of the HD Universe, in the order which they occurred. Note that the article does not include events from Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto: London 1969/Grand Theft Auto: London 1961, Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto Advance, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, or Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, because they are confirmed not to take place in the same canon.

1600s

• September 4th: English explorer Horatio Humboldt establishes the colony of New Rotterdam.
