The McTony Robbery is a Salvage Yard Robbery featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of The Chop Shop update.
Description[]
The player, disguised as a member of Tony McTony's security team, is instructed to pick up McTony's previously stolen Avisa submersible, now fitted with the sonar jamming equipment, docked at Paleto Cove.
Entering the Avisa, the player must take it out to sea and use the sonar equipment to track down McTony's Kosatka submarine. Once the sonar equipment is activated, Tony's submarine's location will flash on the radar. After locating the Kosatka underwater, the player must get on board using the Avisa submersible via the moon pool underneath.
Once the player is inside McTony's submersible, their outfits and Tony's personal Avisa submersible will fool the submarine crew inside. Jamal instructs the player to head over to the engine room and disable four different navigation systems (sonar, surfacing, torpedo and diving systems) by destroying the consoles using weapons. This will immediately alert the security team.
Jamal sends a picture of the head of security carrying the control codes for the submarine, and they must use the picture to identify him. After locating him, the player must eliminate the heavily armored head of security and search his body for the control codes.
With the codes in hand, the player must head to the bridge and insert them into the console to get control of the Kosatka. While in control of the Kosatka, the player must head straight to the nearby coast and beach the submarine. As the player has previously destroyed the navigation systems, the submarine can only move in one direction.
After crashing the submarine onto the beach, Jamal will inform the player that the cops are on their way. The player must head to the landing pad of the submarine where the target vehicle is stored, and access the terminal inside the security room to activate the landing pad in order to get out of the submarine with the target vehicle.
The player is free to escape the beach, lose the wanted level and deliver the target vehicle to the Salvage Yard.
