The Archipelago, or known by its full title of The Archipelago Rockford Hills, is a large luxury hotel in Rockford Hills, Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The hotel is bordered by Marathon Avenue, South Boulevard Del Perro and Movie Star Way, located next to the Lifeinvader Office and Backlot City. The Archipelago has its own incorporated Enema store along with a large courtyard in the back. It cannot be entered and plays no role in the storyline whatsoever.
On the right side of the front courtyard, a building of unknown purpose with a garage can be found. It is of similar architectural style to the hotel and is in close proximity, so it is presumed to be part of the hotel complex.
Various brass plaques around the complex misspell the hotel's name as "The Archipeligo" .
Influence[]
The hotel is based on The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, California[1]. The unknown building neighboring The Archipelago is partially based on 9884 N Santa Monica Blvd, a storefront building neighboring The Peninsula Hotel.
