I have a pretty friend in Woodside who's expecting me. I don' like to keep him waiting. Go collect him for me.

Tequila Slammer - Phone 6: Mission 1 is a mission in Grand Theft Auto available during San Andreas Chapter 2: Tequila Slammer, given to the protagonist by El Burro. The mission is available from the second phone (from the left) in northeast Sailor's Wharf in San Andreas.

Description[]

The mission begins with the protagonist being told by El Burro to answer the payphone in southeast Sailor's Wharf for further instructions. Upon answering the phone, the protagonist is then instructed to go and pick up one of El Burro's friends from north Woodside. When the protagonist gets there however, the building behind El Burro's friend explodes and he is killed. El Burro mentions that someone saw a blue Portsmouth in the area just before the blast and he wants the protagonist to question the driver; the car will be in west Glen Wood by the time the protagonist catches up. After intercepting the driver and persuading him to talk, El Burro tells the protagonist to get a car rigged with a bomb and take it to the rival gang's hideout in central Marina. The protagonist then has to park the rigged car right outside the door to the warehouse and blow it up in order to complete the mission.

Reward[]

The player is awarded 40,000 points and a +1 score multiplier for completing the mission.

Note: This is the dialogue for the PC version of the game. There may be some minor changes compared to the PlayStation and Game Boy Color versions.

El Burro: There's a little job that needs taken care of. Come to the phone in Sailor's Wharf an' I will explain everything.
The protagonist answers the phone in Southeast Sailor's Wharf.
El Burro: I have a pretty friend in Woodside who's expecting me. I don' like to keep him waiting. Go collect him for me.
The protagonist locates El Burro's friend in North Woodside and witness him getting killed.
El Burro: Madre Dios! They have killed my pretty friend! I will have blood for this! Someone saw a car hangin' aroun' jus' before the blast. Find it an' get the driver. Don' kill him, make him talk!
The protagonist chases the Portsmouth driver.
El Burro: Get after him an' put the frighteners on him! Don' hurt him though, we need him alive!
The protagonist beats the Portsmouth driver.
Driver: Don't hurt me! Jimmy the Shovel sent us. The others are holed up at a safehouse in the Marina! Now lemme go, huh?
The protagonist optionally kills the Portsmouth driver.
El Burro: Ok, muchacho, go get a car wired an' park it outside the hideout. We teach these gringos to mess with El Burro!
The protagonist rigs a vehicle with a bomb.
El Burro: Park it right at the front door an' set it off. Let them taste their own medicine!
The protagonist parks the car outside the hideout in Central Marina and detonates it.
El Burro: Good, amigo! My enemies will think twice about pulling another stunt like that, no?
