Under Construction This article or section is Under Construction. Under Construction

Usage

As titled, this template is to be used on articles under construction. Generally, it works in collaboration with the Stub or Section Stub templates, but serves more as a warning, that the following content isn't finished, rather than a requirement. Hence, this template doesn't offer any parameters for required improvement.

It is commonly used on:

  • Newly created or restored articles
  • Articles currently undergoing work
  • Articles with sections incomplete but actively worked on

If you see an article with this template that hasn't been worked on in over a month, add a date (see below) to the template to make users aware of its outdated nature and drop a message on the talk page - perhaps you could even work on finishing it for yourself, or ask any Staff member for assistance. If the article still isn't getting the content it deserves, consider adding a Stub or Section Stub template as well. This marks the page as both incomplete and under construction - it's more likely to be found in the stub maintenance category.

Source

Use:

{{Under Construction}}

To produce:

Under Construction This article or section is Under Construction. Under Construction

It's also possible to add a date. To do this:

{{Under Construction|date = 31st November, 2010}}

Which produces:

Under Construction This article or section is Under Construction as of 31st November, 2010. Under Construction

Not an article or section? Sometimes it's a table or even a gallery. You can change this using:

{{Under Construction|table}}

To produce:

Under Construction This table is Under Construction. Under Construction

This template can also be used to signify newly-created articles, however it's important to remember not to keep them like this for an excess amount of times. For that reason, a category, Category:New articles can be used to keep track of articles that are newly created. To do this, simply set new=y. It is fully compatible with the date function, but as this is generally suitable for articles, doesn't work with the second parameter mentioned previously.

{{Under Construction|new=y|date = 31st November, 2010}}

To produce:

Under Construction This article has just been born! It is currently Under Construction. The following content may be incomplete and/or not verified as of 31st November, 2010. Under Construction

Example

Under Construction This table is Under Construction as of 31st November, 2010. Under Construction
