Game mode influence

Should it be pointed out what this game mode is based off of? like rugby or american football or something? CryoDragon95 (talk) 15:50, November 24, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, absolutely, but be clear, it is "Based On", not "Based Off or Based Off of". Also, please remember to sign your messages at all times. Monk Talk 15:51, November 24, 2015 (UTC)
There have been a number of YouTubers play a rudmitary version of this game mode, even when GTA V was "only" available on PS3 and 360. That, and I think Top Gear car football could have had some form of influence on the implementation of this game mode. In my opinion, anyway.Ward1706 (talk) 15:58, November 24, 2015 (UTC)
"Based off of" is UK English, "Based on" is American conversational English, so either is fine. Also, i signed my message the second after i submitted it so no harm done. I am not going to add anything on what the influences for the game mode is, so it's up to you guys. CryoDragon95 (talk) 16:00, November 24, 2015 (UTC)
The Wiki came to a conclusive decision to only accept 'Based on',so no, either is not fine. 'Based off of' isn't even UK English, I know because I'm English and no one says that. Monk Talk 16:05, November 24, 2015 (UTC)
Even though portions of the game are made with R* North who are UK based? I would have thought that either are fine. The wiki is only accepting American english only then? Also, I hear alternate versions of anything like that in general vocabulary, and i'm english as well. Let's not go into it here, it's unrelated to the page.  CryoDragon95 (talk) 16:11, November 24, 2015 (UTC)
