American Girl reference?
Yeah I know this sounds a bit weird, but could she be a (subtle) reference to Molly McIntire from the American Girl series? As I pointed out in this thread, while the fact that they shared the same name, hair colour and both wore glasses, there appears to be more to it than just those two, so much that it seems to be more than a mere coincidence.
