Gang Tags, or graffiti tags, are a type of collectible item in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Tags' locations

Carl Johnson has to search for a total of 100 gang tags all around Los Santos and spray over them the Grove Street Families' tag with a spray can. Tags and their basics are first introduced during the mission Tagging up Turf. Spraying over an enemy tag increases the player's respect and respraying all 100 tags is required for 100% completion.

The reward for finishing the work with this collectible are the weapons Molotov Cocktail, AK-47, Sawn-off Shotgun and TEC 9 delivered to the kitchen at the Johnson House, and Grove Street gang members will start to carry Desert Eagles, MP5s and knives instead of the usual pistol and TEC 9.

There are 100 tags in Los Santos, mostly found in walls. Here are some of their locations with descriptions and snapshots. The tags are numbered according to the map below:

Commerce

Tag #48

The tag is located at the north side of Roboi's Food Mart, at a brick wall at a building named Legal Cinema. The tag is located at the right side of two Discharger movie posters. It is hard to spot, particularly in the daytime, as its more visible in the night or cloudy.

The tag is located at the east side of the City Hall, south of Pershing Square (at a wall).

Downtown

Tag #51

At the north-east side of the skate park, there is a huge wide building. Upon entering the building, the player can see some tables, chairs and a Sprunk vending machine. The tag is located at the north end of the building, located at a gray wall.

Tag #52

At the east side of the building of Tag 53, there is a huge gray skyscraper with pillars. The tag is located at a rectangular wall, near the street which goes up.

Tag #53

About at the north side of the Los Santos Tower, there is a huge white building with some many pillars. The tag is located at a square wall, which the player can see a stairs some steps away from the building.

East Beach

Tag #82

At the north side of Colonel Fuhrberger's House, there is a house. The tag is located at the right side of the house, at a textured wall (there is a fence at the bottom of the tag, but CJ doesn't need to climb it).

Tag #83

Atop a hill of Tag 84 and Colonel Fuhrberger's House, there is a white house. The tag can be found at the back of The Golden Palms apartments on Saints Boulevard, by climbing at the wall where there is a body armor. It is really located at a slope, so watch out.

Tag #84

The tag is located at the last of the two white houses with a number 915 on it and an East Pacific name, and is located at a wall of a building with a second roof. The house is located at the highway which goes up.The easiest way to get there, is to climb at the back of the house and land on the roof.

Tag #85

The tag is somewhat near Tag 89. It is located at the wall of the ground floor at a huge spiral parking lot, which there is a parked NRG-500 at the top and an Uzi and a True Grime billboard can be found.

Tag #86

At the right side of the Loans Loans Loans banner, there are three tall apartment buildings. The tag is located at the building at the center with a number 2026 on top. The tag is located at the left wall of the building. You can not easily see the tag, because it is covered by the stairs.

Tag #87

After spraying tag 86, look at your radar. You will see an S- Shaped road. At the s- shaped road there is a factory. The tag is located at the middle of the factory located next to a blue wall.

Tag #89

The tag is located at the back of a huge Sprunk building. It is located at the southwest corner of the factory, at a gray wall of a building with high stairs.

Tag #90

The tag is located at the south-east part of the Los Santos Forum, near the Playa del Seville houses, and near the Eight Track sign and at the bottom of the stadium sign.

East Los Santos

Tag #4

Found in Tagging Up Turf, this tag it is located on the wall of the Lolita's Market, at the north side of the basketball court.

Tag #5

Found in Tagging Up Turf, this tag is located at the north-west part of Cluckin' Bell with fences. When you go to that tag, it tells you to spray the Ballas standing on there and asks you they are your enemies.

Tag #6

This is the last tag to be tagged in Tagging Up Turf. When you get there, it asks you to climb at the fences and some platforms. The tag is located on a small building at the roof at the bottom of the billboard.

Tag #71

If the player moves north along the western wall that holds the 4 blue apartment blocks, there will be an entrance to an underground car park, underneath the 3rd from south house. The tag is on the west side wall.

Tag #72

North of the Jefferson Towers, near a Sprunk vending machine.

Tag #73

Located at the south-east part of Cluckin' Bell, there is a building with some windows not far of Cluckin' Bell. The real tag location is located at the back part of the building (which a Perennial can spawn there) with a wired fence. The player needs to climb the wired fence to spray it.

Tag #74

The tag is located on a tunnel near the car wash that appears in the mission "Reuniting the Families" (during the police chase), northeast of Cluckin' Bell.

Tag #75

Remember the mission OG Loc? This is where Freddy will come out of his house and you will follow him and enter this building and, you will pass the tag. You have no time to tag it at the mission because you need to follow Freddy first.

Tag #76

The tag is just located at the north-east side of tag 75, located at a wall, at the end of the building.

Tag #77

At the north side of the groups of blue houses, you can see a tall building with a flattened wall. At the east side, the wall is not flattened. That is the wall where is the tag is located.

Tag #79

Going north on the highway from Jefferson Motel, you can see some billboards without posters. At the left side, there is a stairway. The tag is located at the wall of the end of the stairway. The tag can be difficult to spot, because of the color of the stairway and the color of the tag.

El Corona

Tag #20

The tag is located at the right wall of a liquor store, with a painting at the wall, with the words, "La Raza Movimento".

Tag #21

Near Unity Station, there is a group of almost identical houses (this is actually the group of houses located at the mission Los Desperados). The building of the tag is located next to the stairway with rainbow stairs. It is actually easy to tag, just aim upward at the tag and start spraying.

Tag #22

The tag is located at a wall of a building with letters "BAR" on top. Opposite the Tattoo Parlor shop.

Tag #23

The tag is located at the right wall of a house, located at the north side of Cesar Vialpando's house.

Tag #24

This is the only Ballas tag that can only be found at El Corona. The tag is located at a blue shipping crate - like fence.

Tag #25

The tag is located at the left wall of the Nude & XXX Shop near the airport, under the "Bobo" billboard.

Ganton

Tag #7

This tag is located at Grove Street, and is near Ryder's house. It is located at the back of the bridge support which leads you to Ganton.

Tag #8

This tag is located at the alley in the south of Ganton Gym, on a blue wall. There is a wire fence located at the right of the tag, but CJ can't reach it so you can't easily get there. There is also an alternate alley on a poster with a "Discount" word on it.

Glen Park

Tag #56

The tag is located north of the park, on one of the courtyards of a group of small houses.

Tag #64

At the middle of Glen Park, there is a pool. The tag is located at the curved wall, that supports the bridge. At the pool, you can find an Oyster.

Tag #65

At the north side of the pool, there is a store with a parking lot. The tag is located at the wall at the right side of the building, located at an alley.

Tag #66

The tag is located at the north-west corner of the skate park, where the grassy part is located. This is where the BMX is located for the BMX Challenge.

Idlewood

Tag #1

Found in Tagging Up Turf, this tag is located at under a flyover near Big Smoke's house. You can spray the tag before Tagging Up Turf, and if the tag is sprayed, Sweet will tag it again.

This is the only tag not to be sprayed by CJ.

Tag #2

Found in Tagging Up Turf, this tag is located at a blue house near Big Smoke's house.

Tag #3

Found in Tagging Up Turf, this tag is located on a brick wall at the south end of the batch of houses where Big Smoke's house is.

Tag #9

Near a co-op mode icon, at a group of run-down housing projects located north of Big Smoke's House.

Tag #10

There is a group of 3-story residential buildings northeast of the Alhambra club. The graffiti tag is located at the back of one of the buildings.

Tag #12

The tag is located on the wall of the right most corner from the entrance of the Alhambra club, hidden at a hedge.

Tag #15

At the entrance of a tunnel in the Storm Drain, just northeast of Unity Station.

Tag #16

The tag is located at a car wash near the Alhambra it is located at the back of a car wash sign. You can use the parked Broadway at the back of the car wash and jump to a plank to the roof to get there or by a bunny hop with a BMX, if you have enough high "cycling skill".

Tag #17

This tag is located towards the west from the Well-Stacked Pizza.

Tag #18

The tag can be found at the back of the 24 Hour Motel, east of the Well Stacked Pizza.

Jefferson

Tag #62

There is an orange motel, called the Jefferson Motel. The tag is located at the west side of the motel, located at the bottom of the staircase, which leads you to the roof, where is a MP5 pickup.

Tag #63

At Jefferson, there is a Diamonds store. Next to the store is an alley. Go forward to that alley. The tag is located at the wall of the alley.

Tag #67

The tag is located at the east side of the County General Hospital, hidden in some plants.

Tag #68

There is an alley at Jefferson, which is near the church. At the end of the alley, you can see a billboard (this is actually the billboard where Sweet's car bumped it at this mission. The tag is located at a blue violet house, near the billboard, at the wall of the house.

Tag #69

The tag is located at the north side of the church, located at a side of a wall of a triangular section.

Tag #70

At the neighboring house of the Jefferson Safehouse, there is a blue violet house. At the back of the house, there is an unbreakable fence. The tag is located at the north side of the alley.

Las Colinas

Tag #57

If you're from the upper part of Las Colinas, go to Glen Park. While going down, you can see a house with a long stairway which leads you to the house. When you're at the back of the house, there is a much taller stairway, go up to that stairway. The tag is located at the neighboring blue house, similar to tag 58.

Tag #58

At Las Colinas, there is an orange house. The tag is located at wall of the neighboring blue house, located at an alley.

Tag #59

At the north-east side of the Carniceria El Pueblo, there is a long staircase which leads you to an orange house. The tag is located at the left wall of the staircase, hidden in some two palm trees.

Tag #60

There are two parts in Las Colinas, the upper part and the lower part. The building of this tag is located at the upper part. The tag is located at the back of a brown house (located at the east side of the trailer park), where an MP5 is located at the front.

Tag #61

At Las Colinas, there is a tunnel. The tag is located at the left wall of the tunnel. The tunnel is featured in the mission, Catalyst. NOTE:Beware of incoming trains!

Tag #80

After spraying tag 79, go up from the stairs. At the end of the stairs there are groups of almost identical houses. The tag is located at the wall of the third house in an alley, located next to a window. The tag is hidden at a plant with tall leaves, so it is hard to spot.

Tag #81

At the east end of Las Colinas at the beach, there is a huge blue building. The tag is located at a wall with no windows, at the left side of the building.

Little Mexico

Tag #11

The tag is located at a wall of a tall sand- colored cylindrical part of a huge building at the south side of Tag 13, and also at the left side of the Atrium. Due to the color of the tag and the wall, it can be difficult to spot.

Tag #13

At the north side of the left corner from the entrance of Alhambra, there is a huge building with some green fences in it (this is actually the building where the Los Santos Street race takes place). The tag is located on a wall facing Alhambra, located near a billboard.

Tag #14

The tag is located on the left wall of a gray triangular building which looks like a church, located at the north side of the Atrium, at the north side of some telephone booths.

Los Flores

Tag #78

Near the bridge, there are groups of blue houses located at a hill. The tag is located at the north wall of the second group of houses, hidden in a hedge.

Tag #88

At East Los Santos, there is a walkway with stairs. Go at the bottom of the stairs and go to an alley that goes upward. The tag is located at the front of you when you go straight from the alley. There is an alternate alley there, next to the sign of a store named Will's Snack Shop.

Los Santos International Airport

Tag #31

At the entrance of the long tunnel on the highway, south of the airport. The tag is located near a Homies Sharp billboard, on a ledge.

Tag #32

The tag can be found at the air traffic control tower, on its south wall. East of the Theme Building replica.

Marina

Tag #35

The tag is located at the curved wall of a building, at the right wall of the long Verona Beach pier.

Tag #39

After spraying tag 35, go to the sea. You can see a river with some bridges. Go to the straight of the river. At the end, you can see a building. The tag is located at the left wall of the building, and you can easily see it.

Market

Tag #40

Southeast of Cluckin' Bell and west of the Verona Mall, on a white building. The tag is above street level, so the player needs to climb up to tag it.

Tag #44

The tag is located at the right side of a gray wall at the side walk which goes up. Atop the wall there is a tall cylindrical building with some shades close to their windows.

Tag #45

The building of the tag is located at the south-west part of Jim's Sticky Ring, and at the south-west there is a blue building with some stairs and some ways for you to walk. The tag is located at a wall at the end of the path.

Tag #46

The tag is located at a building (they are buildings that have bridges that are connected to each other) which has some stairs, and lower paths which leads you to the lowest part of the building. The location of the building is where an S-shape is located to the north-east of the archway. The tag is located at the east side of the building, and the center of the east side.

Mulholland Intersection

Tag #54

There is an Opera House located next to the huge parking lot of the Mulholland Intersection. The tag is located at the right side of the opera house, located next to some two dumpsters.

Tag #55

The tag is located at a flyover support located at the grassy part at the Mullholland Intersection, which is next to a tree.

Ocean Docks

Tag #28

After going straight under the bridge at the freeway, you will see a long blue building. The tag is located near the entrance, or at the right side of the building, blocked by a concrete wall.

Tag #29

While going straight to the freeway, you will see a bridge with some blue bridge supports. The tag is located at the end of the bridge at the left, and at the bridge support at the right. It is also the only Ballas tag located at Ocean Docks.

Tag #30

Go to the Southern Eastern most side of the docks, there you will find 3 blue warehouses standing side by side in a deep trench with the water to the East. In between the middle house and the Northern most house you will find a heap of loading crates. Go to the side of the heap of crates facing the water and you will find the tag on a blue crate.

Tag #99

Under a bridge in the southernmost end of the Storm Drain, southwest of the Forum.

The tag is located at the wall on the most east side of the police station.

Playa Del Seville

Tag #91

There is some stairs at Playa Del Seville that leads you to the beach, and some walls. The tag is located at the wall on the right, near at some structures that block the water at the beach.

Tag #92

There are two groups of houses at Playa Del Seville, and the tag is located at the left group of the houses.It is located at the south part of the houses with a blue wall, hidden in a rocky wall.

Tag #93

At Playa Del Seville, there are two groups of houses. The building of the tag is the group of houses located near the beach. The tag is located at a rocky wall with a tall palm tree standing on it.

Tag #94

This is the last tag of the Seville Boulevard Families tags. It is located at a wall,at the south of the basketball court, and the left of the building with many garages, where you will put Ryder's truck in this mission.

Tag #95

The tag is located at the right wall of the small entrance where some electric generators are found,near the Playa Del Seville houses.

Rodeo

Tag #38

The tag is located at the right side of a Ranch clothing store billboard.

Tag #41

The tag is located at the left wall of a Vinyl Countdown store (at the right, you can see some billboards, including Madd Dogg's new latest album, 24 Carat Dogg.

Santa Maria Beach

The tag is located at the back of a Pay 'n' Spray garage, located at the right most side of the Santa Maria Beach Safehouse.

Tag #37

The tag is located at the end of the Yacht Harbor, located at the right side of the ferris wheel, located at the back of the The Brown Starfish Bar and Grill.

Temple

Tag #43

The tag is located at the right wall of an orange building where the Pay n' Spray and the Transfender building is located. The tag's exact location is hard to spot on the map, because of the icons and the shape of the building.

Verdant Bluffs

Tag #33

After spraying Tag 49, go at the back of the city hall. There is a hill and on the hill, you can see a huge domed building named Los Santos Observatory. The tag is located at the wall of the right dome.

Verona Beach

Tag #34

At the bottom of the Los Santos Observatory, there is a huge building with a Zapateria store on the building. The tag is located at the left wall of the building.

Tag #47

At a big white building located just north of the Los Santos Conference Center. The player must go up the steps to the east side of the building on Market Boulevard. The tag is located next to a door.

Vinewood

Tag #42

The tag is located at the wall of a tall blue building with American flags, located at the north- east side of a "Strain Hard"billboard.

Willowfield

Tag #19

The tag is located at an L-shaped building, near the tracks leading to Unity Station, and near at a truck which has some brands on it. The tag is located at a wall at the right of a Sprunk vending machine.

Tag #26

The tag is located at the top wall of the three identical houses at the right side of some roofs that looks like a ramp.

Tag #27

It is to east from the Unity Station. If you are coming on the rails, you will see a heap of trash, and a wall of containers. The tag is on the other side of the containers, in the storm drain.

Tag #96

At the 6th Street Plaza mall, near a snack vending machine and west of Cluckin' Bell, on a restaurant called Sushi Man.

Tag #97

The tag is located at the west part of Cluckin' Bell near the parking lot and its delicious food price signs. The tag is easily seen in a cutscene in this mission (it is found when Ryder, CJ, Sweet and Big Smoke order and a Ballas car appears).

Tag #98

Look at your radar. You will see a Cluckin Bell icon and a house. Go to the locations of the house, and you will see a long flyover. Look into your left. There is a brick-colored building with the name "98 cent" on it. The tag is on the side of the building where the road points to the safehouse.
