The Superstar Café is a high-end venue restaurant chain in Grand Theft Auto IV.
Description[]
There are two Superstar locations in GTA IV: one in The Triangle, at Denver-Exeter Ave and Iron Street, and one in Lancaster at the intersection of Quartz Street and Bismarck Ave. Both locations are accessible but the player cannot purchase food there to replenish health. However, players can take their friends or girlfriends to the café. Alex Chilton and Brucie Kibbutz seem to be particularly fond of this restaurant. Carmen Ortiz, however, dislikes eating here, as she considers the people there to be "snobbish". There is actually another location on the Corner of the Burlesque and Manganese Street in Star Junction, Algonquin. However, this store is inaccessible.
The interior of the café, which is used for both Superstar outlets, consists of two floors, with the lower level furnished with basic dining tables and chair, a bar and a staging area for musicians, and the upper level containing posher sofas and tables. Occasionally, a saxophone playing busker will spawn on the staging area, by the microphone, playing jazz music; as usual, players can give the busker $10 in exchange for full health. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the radio station IF99 can be heard playing in the background, while Episodes from Liberty City plays RamJam FM instead.
The Superstar Café also appears in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, although it cannot be entered.
Influence[]
Judging by its GTA IV manual description, the restaurant is seemingly a direct parody of the Hard Rock Cafe, while appearing to also take hints from the now-defunct All Star Café in its name. The logo of the Superstar Café bears a striking resemblance to that of a European cigarette brand known as North Star. It is uncertain whether this resemblance is intentional or coincidental.

Trivia[]
- In the beta, the Superstar Café was named Rockstar Café. Food was meant to be purchased and had its own employees with Rockstar Café uniforms on. However, its name was changed to Superstar Café sometime during development for unknown reasons.
- Despite the name change, the branding of Superstar Cafe not only uses the same font used for Rockstar's logo, but also reuses the star derived from the company's logo, as well as its color scheme.
