Sunbeam is a main character in Grand Theft Auto 2.
History[]
Background[]
Sunbeam is the leader of the Hare Krishna in the Industrial District of Anywhere City. According to his police file, Sunbeam is tall and heavyset, with a twitching left eye and a shaved head showing where a titanium plate was inserted after he was caught in an oil rig explosion. He uses steroids and enjoys stealing and crushing cars. He also goes by the names "Blondie", "Crusha", and "Thor".

Green Phone Jobs[]
Sunbeam employs Claude (whom he refers to as "Grasshopper") to help the Krishna gain full control of the Industrial District. In one of his first jobs, Claude is hired to attack a construction firm owned by the Zaibatsu Corporation that is constructing shopping malls in their territory, and later steal and crush three Cop Cars as revenge for the police halting the Krishna's program of automotive clearance.
Yellow Phone Jobs[]
After earning enough respect from the Hare Krishna, Sunbeam hires Claude to track down and kill some Russian Kovski hitmen sent by Jerkov to kill the Grand Master of the Krishna, Master Lepus, and kidnap some of Jerkov's men to be converted into Krishna. Later, Claude is sent to DeCon Labs to rescue some Krishna monks being held hostage by the Zaibatsu.
Red Phone Jobs[]
Eventually, Sunbeam hires Claude to rescue some Krishna who have been captured and locked at the Zaibatsu Power Plant, and later destroy the Kovski Power Plant with the help of some of his loyal Krishna converts.
Death[]
Unbeknownst to Sunbeam, Claude has been working behind his back the whole time, as he was hired by Kovski Russian Mafia boss Jerkov and the Zaibatsu boss Uno Carb. While working for the Russian Mafia, Claude killed eight Krishna hitmen sent by Sunbeam, killed their top hitman Nova Bright, and caused a massacre at the Vedic Temple with the help of Ivan and other Russian mercenaries. While working for the Zaibatsu, Claude caused a gang war between the Krishna and the Kovski by killing each gang using their rival gang cars.
In addition, Claude was also killing Krishna's loyal Krishna converts to gain respect from the Zaibatsu and get more jobs from Uno Carb.
Eventually, Sunbeam realizes he and the Hare Krishna were being manipulated by Claude the whole time, and goes after him. Meanwhile, Jerkov and Uno Carb also find out they are being played by Claude and also go hunting for him. Shortly after, all three bosses track down Claude around the Industrial District.
Sunbeam arrives in a Karma Bus and armed with a Flamethrower, but is ultimately killed by either Claude Speed in self-defense before leaving town or by his rival gang bosses.
