The Grotti Stinger TT (formerly known as the Itali GTO Stinger TT) is a two-door grand touring car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update.
Influence[]
The car's overall design resembles that of a Ferrari Roma with the headlights inspired by Ferrari Purosangue. The side vents seems to be inspired by the Ferrari Portofino albeit scaled down. The front grille shape is somewhat similar to the Ferrari Monza SP, while the tail lights are a mix of the ones found on the Roma and the Koenigsegg Gemera. The lower rear portion of the car is inspired by the Ferrari 488, with the rear vents inspired by the Ferrari 599 GTO.
Liveries[]
- The "Fade Away" livery is based on the MANSORY Tempesta Verde Ferrari Roma.
Performance[]
Vehicle[]
The Stinger TT's performance is above average in the sports class, having a top speed of 121.2 mph/195.1 kph, and good acceleration (provided the driver softly throttles the engine). However, it has poor traction and somewhat heavy handling, struggling to turn at high speeds, as well as being a floaty vehicle.
When modified with HSW performance upgrades, its statistical top speed can exceed 155.6 mph/255.2 kph, making it the fastest car in the Expanded & Enhanced edition of the game at the time of its release. But still, the vehicle's handling limits its potential when going through traffic.
Features[]
The Stinger TT, along with selected Imani Tech vehicles, can be modified with a Remote Control Unit, which allows to drive the vehicle remotely, similar to the RC Bandito and the Invade and Persuade Tank. Note that the camera is always set to first-person view, and cannot be kept if the Missile Lock-on Jammer is installed.
Armor/Defense[]
With 100% Armor upgrade and a player inside, the Stinger TT can withstand two homing missiles or Explosive rounds from the Heavy Sniper Mk II (blowing up on the next round), but it will be destroyed by a single RPG. Unlike the vehicles from The Contract update, it lacks bulletproof windows, but it does not appear with a unique radar blip. The Exclusive Wing options are solid and give the vehicle rear protection from firearms that are not too close or above the spoiler.
When the Armor Plating upgrade is equipped, the vehicle adds armor plating on the doors and windows, in a similar manner to the armor paddings of selected Imani Tech vehicles and the vehicles featured in the Executives and Other Criminals update. However, it gives a much higher resistance to explosives in general, resisting 3 RPGs, 11 homing missiles, or 9 Heavy Sniper MK II explosive rounds (The amount of explosives is halved if not occupied or remote controlled by a player).
The Stinger TT, along with selected Imani Tech vehicles, can be modified with a Missile Lock-on Jammer, which prevents the lock-on system of the Homing Launcher and other weaponized vehicles to target onto it. Note that it cannot be kept if the Remote Control Unit is installed.
Weapons[]
The vehicle has the option to install Slick Proximity Mines (green flashing light), which bursts a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.
