Static Helicopters are non-controllable helicopter props appearing throughout the Grand Theft Auto series. They are commonly used around airports or during missions to make for larger variety and better scenery.
Description
Static helicopters are typically solid, immovable and nonexplosive props completely inaccessible and uncontrollable to the player, often part of the map or as a prop object.

Grand Theft Auto III

Five different variations of the helicopter are seen throughout the game, including a civilian and police variant.

The civilian and police variants are used as mission vehicles and can be seen flying, while the other three variants are merely props.
