The State of Gloriana is a state located in the United States of America, mentioned in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Description
License plates from the state can be seen hanging on the interior walls of The Rusty Anchor as decorations, as well as on cars and bikes throughout the game's second trailer and official screenshots. It appears to border the State of Leonida, specifically Mount Kalaga National Park, which is located along the state's northern border.
Influence
The state is evidently based on the U.S. state of Georgia.
The state's name appears to come from a common nickname for 16th century English queen Elizabeth I, derived from poet Edmund Spenser's epic poem, The Faerie Queene. This mirrors the origin of the state of Georgia's name, being named after 18th century king George II of Great Britain.

Trivia
- Similarly to Leonida and Vespucci Beach, Gloriana was referred to using its previous 3D Universe counterpart's name "Georgia" in Grand Theft Auto V, during the Moorehead Rides Again! show. The name was retconned for its appearance in Grand Theft Auto VI.
