Be on the lookout for the new Daily Stash House popping up on your map — these safehouses contain hoarded GTA$ or product, but they’re also packed with enemies.
A successful invasion requires you to kick down the door, clear out your foes, locate the combination for the safe, and crack it to walk away with someone else’s drugs or money.”
Stash Houses are Free Mode missions featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, released during Eclipse Blvd Garage Week on February 16th, 2023.
Description[]
The player can randomly encounter a Stash House while in Free Mode once per real time day. The icon will appear on the map as soon as the player enters a Free Mode session. Each player will have their own Stash House location which will persist through session changes for the duration of the day. The location will change at the same time as the Gun Van, at 07:00 UTC.
There is a purple Corona marking the entry point. There is usually a security camera outside the entrance, but it cannot be disabled and the player always kicks down the door to break in. If a player has an active Organization with associates, is a SecuroServ VIP with bodyguards. or is an MC Club president with members, the affiliated players will not see the map marker or corona until their leader enters. They will be prompted to also enter, and a yellow Entrance marker will appear on their map and a yellow corona will appear at the entry for them to follow their leader inside. Affiliate player's own Stash House marker may disappear while they are "employed". Players with a Wanted Level are not allowed to enter the Stash House.
Once inside, players must eliminate the five hostile enemy gang members.
There is a locked safe inside containing the target reward but the player needs to locate a yellow "postit" note with one of ten possible three-number combinations[1] to the safe before it can be opened. If explosives or the Up-n-Atomizer were used to clear the room, furniture or bodies may obscure the combination and may need to be moved again to be able to read it.
After opening the safe with the combination, the player leaves the Stash House and has to leave the area to complete the mission. At least two waves of enemy reinforcements (more if there are multiple players on the job) will arrive in vehicles to pursue the player. If the player is Wasted after leaving the Stash House before managing to leave the area, they will re-spawn with the package still in their possession and will still just need to leave the area to successfully complete the job.
The pursuing enemies do not need to be evaded or killed to complete the job. As soon as the player reaches the required distance[vague] from the Stash House, any pursuing gang members will instantly de-spawn. Their vehicles will not disappear though, and they will be driven by standard non-hostile NPCs. However they are still considered mission vehicles so cannot be stored and converted to personal vehicles.

Co-locations with Gang Attacks and/or G's Cache[]
Two stash house locations need to be approached with caution as they may spawn within an active gang attack zone. The attack should be dealt with first (by either completing it or escaping to a safe distance to cancel out the attack). The locations are: Cherry Pie Farm and Miller's Fishery. The Fishery location is also the only site that is also a possible G's Cache spawn point, allowing both to be completed in one stop. The Altruist Camp location, while not a Gang Attack zone, remains dangerous as the cult members will attack the player (if cleared out before entering the Stash House, the cultists will respawn after a couple of minutes, likely in time for the player to emerge from the stash house).

Trivia[]
- One of the possible safe combinations, 28-11-97, may be a reference to the release date for the original Grand Theft Auto, November 28, 1997.
- Although generally only one player will have access to a specific stash house, members of an MC Club or Organization can enter the stash house with another member.
- Initially, players were allowed to use the Up-n-Atomizer within stash houses. This ability was removed during a later update.
- Occasionally, the combination notes might be hidden by a fallen body or a piece of furniture that was moved due to setting off an explosive. This became an issue when the ability to use the Up-n-Atomizer within stash houses was removed. While some obstacles can be moved by walking into them, others might require firing a heavy weapon or an explosive.
