Long gone are the days of playing army men with other kids. Now you play army men with grownups. And what's more grownup than giving each other a high and tight before piling into an armored truck, stripping to the waist and making revving noises? It's just like the old days, but your mom's not there to make you snacks.
Warstock Cache & Carry description.

The Mammoth Squaddie is a light utility vehicle (LUV) that was cut from Grand Theft Auto V during development, later returning to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Cayo Perico Heist update (temporarily as a mission-only vehicle).

Template:Cutcontent

A 2-door light tactical military truck with lots of room in the back for cargo or passengers. Great for raiding a compound or rolling around with rappers or soccer moms, all of which need over-sized armored SUVs to travel through busy city centers.
— Unused Warstock Cache & Carry description.[1]

Not much was known about the vehicle, other than an unused website description and a police scanner in the files that refer to it as the "Mammoth Squaddie". In a Lifeinvader picture for Warstock Cache & Carry, under the "ATV" category, there is a Patriot-based vehicle that matches with the description of the unused assets, implying that this vehicle is the Squaddie. Low-detailed examples can be also seen in the same picture, on the image of the beta Titan.

Based on the image, this version combined elements from the Hummer H2 and a Hummer H1/AM General HMMWV (specifically the M1097 variant, given the configuration). The front grille, headlights, hood, flared fenders and bottom sides were identical to the Patriot, but featured a small utility bumper, non-chromed front section, a square-shaped cabin, a split windshield and what seems to be a black air intake snorkel on the hood. The rear appears to feature side guard rails and canopy frames over it, presumably having enough room for passengers, similar to the Bodhi and the Bison. Like the Crusader and the Barracks, the vehicle featured a desert camo livery. Template:Cutcontent

Grand Theft Auto Online

The Squaddie makes a return to Grand Theft Auto Online with the same layout as the beta model. However, its general design leans more towards the HMMWV/M1097 than the Hummer H2 (more similar to 3D Universe iterations of the Patriot), though still retaining the core body design and dimensions of GTA V's Patriot.

The vehicle assumes a more utilitarian appearance than before, featuring a bulky bumper with a wide guard that spans the whole width of the truck. Its front end assume a more unique design in comparison to the Patriot, featuring circular headlights and turn signals on the same locations as its civilian counterpart, along with a sectioned grille and a small "Mammoth" badge just above the same. The hood features two black slatted vents on the center, two small hooks and rubber details, along with a long body-colored air intake snorkel on the right.

The sides of the truck have similar features to the regular Patriot and the beta model, being the flared fenders, flared bottom side and the formations on the middle section. However, it has a shorter cabin with similar design and features to the beta model. It also uses large rectangular doors with a cross-shaped pattern on the lower side, visible hinges, black door handles and larger rear-view mirrors. The rest of the truck is occupied by a long bed with seat benches inside of it, black rails on the upper borders and amber lights on the rearmost sides, along with a long exhaust stack on the left and step bars on the rear quarters. The frames on the truck bed no longer comes as standard, though restorable when modified.

The rear end of the truck is rather unique, featuring a large tailgate on the center and a black utility bumper with hooks, step bars and a driver-side license plate (with the hooks being identical to the ones on the Crusader). The tail lights are the same ones from the Winky, being a set of outer circular lights and inner split lights.

The interior of the truck is roughly similar to the Winky, sharing the same "Dominator" dials and layout on the center, the switches around the dashboard and the specifications plate on the passenger side (albeit removing the original "Winky" text on it). Within the driver side, there are warning stickers unique to this vehicle.

The primary color of the truck is applied on most of the bodywork, while the secondary color is applied on the doors and the roof. It uses a set of plain rims similar to the ones from the Winky, albeit with a black center and wrapped in high-profile tires. The rims can also support a dedicated color, although only naturally-generated examples may have one. Unlike the beta model, it no longer has the traditional desert camo livery, but instead uses standard camo liveries from the Gunrunning update.

The Squaddie’s horn is shared with both the Marquis and Kurtz 31 Patrol Boat.

Performance

Grand Theft Auto Online

The vehicle is powered by an inline-4 engine similar to the Patriot and the Stretch variant, but lacking any sort of throttle bodies. It has a 5-speed gearbox and an all-wheel-drive layout, with a distribution of 40% to the front and 60% to the rear. Its engine sound is also similar to most SUVs and pickup trucks, with an additional tone similar to the Barrage and the Winky.
