Sprint is a street race type introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in the Los Santos Tuners update.

Hey, think you can beat me in a point-to-point Sprint?”
From the LS Car Meet when attending with their Personal Vehicles in the meet with other players in any Free Mode lobby type, players can use the Interaction Menu to start a Sprint race for between 2 and 4 participants. When starting a race, an invite is sent to all other LS Car Meet members. Once at least one other player has accepted the challenge, a 30 second countdown timer commences, to allow two more acceptances.
Players are teleported to the start point at the Tractor Parts Warehouse on Popular Street, north of the car meet building.
A random destination is selected from the list below. Players must race to the destination by any route (a GPS route will be plotted but does not have to be followed). When reaching the single checkpoint at the destination, players are then instructed to return to the finish line outside the LS Car Meet building on Popular Street.
Contact is on during the race, but while engaged in a Sprint race, competitors will appear in non-contact Passive Mode to other players in the lobby and all other players will be in ghost-mode to the participants of the race. Certain Personal Vehicles with special abilities are allowed into the Car Meet and therefore are allowed in the Sprint race, but their abilities (jump/fly/boost/weapons etc) are disabled in the race. Arena War vehicles' mines are not disabled, however, and thus can still be placed/detonated during the race.
The race is completed as soon as the leader crosses the finish line, minor placings are decided by the distance to the finish at the time the winner finishes.

- For the duration of the Comet S2 Week from 29 July 2021, players could win a Vulcar Warrener HKR in the Prize Ride Challenge by winning 5 Sprint races.
- For the duration of the Vectre Week from 12th August 2021, players could win a Karin Futo GTX in the Prize Ride Challenge by winning 3 Sprint races for 4 days in a row
- For the duration of the Previon Week from 9 September 2021, players could win a Pfister Growler in the Prize Ride Challenge by winning 8 Sprint races.
