Ay, Aruzo! I got a warning for you from Bald Man Sonetti. Cross him again, I stick a gun up your ass and blow your fucking eyeballs out. Capiche?

Sonetti's Right-Hand Man is a minor antagonist in Grand Theft Auto.

He is voiced by Gary Penn.

History[]

Background[]

He is the right-hand man of Don Sonetti[2], the boss of the New Guernsey-based Sonetti Crime Family.

Events of Grand Theft Auto[]

The right-hand man makes his first appearance after the protagonist begins ruining the Sonetti family businesses. He meets the protagonist in an alley behind the Strip Club in Northwest Park and warns the protagonist to stay away from Don Sonetti's business. Sonetti's drug deals are still being disrupted by the protagonist despite the right-hand man's warning.

Eventually, the entire Sonetti Crime Family is wiped out by the protagonist during Heist Almighty, including Don Sonetti himself and his men in a building explosion.

Trivia[]

  • Not chronologically, Sonetti's right-hand man is the first voiced character in the Grand Theft Auto series, as well as the first to appear in a cutscene.
  • If the player enables the Offensive Language cheat in the PC version (iamgarypenn), the character is mistakenly referred to as Sonetti himself rather than his right-hand man in the Gangsta Bang - Ending mission objectives. This is an oversight by DMA Design.[3] Furthermore, if the player fails the mission by killing the right-hand man the mission failed text will say that the player killed Don Sonetti rather than his right-hand man.[4]

References[]

  1. As revealed by the game's music composer Colin Anderson on February 17th, 2023, via YouTube, Gary Penn voiced all cutscene characters in the original Grand Theft Auto, except Uncle Fu (Brian Lawson) and Brother Marcus (Johnny Wilson).

  2. As mentioned in a Mission Failed message in Gangsta Bang - Ending, if the player kills the character.
You killed Sonetti's right hand man! You got some serious explainin' to do.
  3. One of Don Sonetti's guys wants to talk with you, kid. Go to the alley behind the Strip Club in North West Park. Now.
