Slumpussy are a hip-hop band featured in Grand Theft Auto.
History[]
Background[]
They have one known album, "Skins & Boners", containing the two songs, "Gangster Friday" and "This Life". The former serves as the game's title and credits theme with the latter appearing on the in-game radio station N-CT FM.
Brian Baglow, a former writer for DMA Design, once described them as "Cypress Hill cool guys" with specification that they were not "gangsta". He also stated that they were "not (from) LA".
"This Life" was written, produced, and performed by Robert De Negro and Craig Conner, with some additional instrumentation provided by Stuart Ross. It is also referred to as "This Is Life" on the official soundtrack CD.
"Gangster Friday" was written, produced, and performed by Craig Conner. The vocals heard in the background of the track were primarily taken from a short film produced by the DMA Design sound team, circa 1996.
