The LTA Skycar, also known as The Pigeon, is an aerial tramway in Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City. It is also present, although non-functional, in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Description[]
The Skycar is an aerial tramway that connects Lancet, Algonquin to Colony Island in Liberty City, just south of the Algonquin Bridge. The tramway falls under the management of the Liberty City Transport Authority (LTA) and is dubbed "The Pigeon", similar to the "The Fox" nickname stamped onto GTA IV's buses.
Niko, Johnny and Luis can take a ride on the Cablecar, though the player cannot look around or move the protagonist whilst they are in the car. First person view can be accessed via the camera on the protagonists' cell phone. NPCs are not programmed to use the Skycar, and the protagonist cannot grab hold of the Skycar whilst it is in motion.
The Skycar cannot be entered if the player has a wanted level, nor can be destroyed. Like the Subway Car, it will ignore the player's vehicle, so they can push them away with no harm at all. If the player climbs onto the roof of the cable car, they will earn a two-star wanted level.
While the aerial tramway and its stations are present in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the cable cars are absent, thus this service is not functional. The "Skycar" and "The Pigeon" markings are removed from each station, implying that the tramway is under renovation in 2009. The Colony Island Luxury Apartments advertisements are still present in the stations.

The Skycar appears to be based on the Roosevelt Island Tramway between Manhattan and Roosevelt Island in New York City. As such, the tram cars, stations, and cable pylons share a likeness with the real-life rendition. The Skycar only spawns in a garnet red.

- Since the Cable Car is considered as a train and shares traits with that of the Subway Car, the statistics will register the distance travelled in the Cable Car as "distance travelled in train".
