He is first seen with Shirley leaving her home and driving to the Superstar Café for a private talk.
Shirley's husband Jeff Harlingford randomly tasks Niko Bellic, who was walking by on the street at that moment, with following his wife under suspicion that she may be cheating on him. They arrive at the Superstar Café, where Niko takes pictures of the two, before vacating the scene. During their conversation, Shirley tells her friend about her husband's increasing paranoia about her personal life. The friend's response implies he is sexually attracted to her.
Depending on the player's choice, both of them can be killed by Niko at the Superstar Café, ending Jeff's mission strand in the first encounter.
