Recover Valuables is a security contract featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Contract update. It is a Free Mode mission that can be conducted in any session type by CEOs, VIPs and MC Club presidents.
Description[]
Franklin calls the player, telling them that a client has had their valuables stolen and the F. Clinton and Partner Agency has been enlisted to retrieve them.
The player is tasked with going to a location, entering a building and locating the stolen item. It may be locked away (e.g. in a safe) which requires the player to locate a code or key to unlock. Multiple enemy gang members will be inside. Once the key or code has been found, enemy reinforcements will arrive.
After eliminating the gang, collecting the stolen valuables, and exiting the building, the player must return to their Agency garage entry. 3–4 waves of enemy chasers will pursue the player.
Scenarios[]
The valuables scenario can vary:
Le Chien CEO's necklace[]
They made off with all her jewelry, and get this: the necklace don't even belong to her. She stole it from one of her rich girlfriends, so she can't go to the fuckin' cops. That's where we come in.
The Lost have been hanging out in West Vinewood, over in Tequi-la-la.
'Ey, go pay 'em a visit and get that fuckin' jewelry back, alright?”
Franklin says that the CEO of Le Chien has been mugged and cannot call the police because she took the necklace from one of her rich girlfriends. Franklin figures that the modus operandi is typical of The Lost MC, which are situated at Tequi-la-la. The player is free to sneak in the front or back entrance.
The player has to enter and find the safe while engaging with multiple members of the gang, which will be located either on the second floor or on the underground floor. After finding the safe, they have to find the safe code located either at one side of the stage, one of the tables, or behind the main counter. Taking the safe code results in more reinforcements arriving at the bar, so the player has to be careful.
Once the necklace is taken, they have to deliver it back to the Agency while evading pursuing members. The player has to deliver it on foot, through the main entrance, to complete the mission. The Protagonist turns it in to Franklin in his office.
Judge's stolen watch[]
Well, this dumbass left his watch for a tip for one of the girls at the Vanilla Unicorn. Some priceless family shit from his wife's side. And now he's sobered up and he wants it back.
But don't worry though, this ain't no errand-boy bullshit: see, our judge he got some enemies from the Armenian mob. They heard about the watch from one of the girls, and they straight-up moved in, took the whole place over, and told the dude to come begging. Kinda like a hostage situation, you know? Except the hostage is some antique bullshit in a safe in one of the back rooms.
Short work for your charming ass, right?”
Franklin informs the player that a top judge left his antique watch as a tip for one of the strippers at the Vanilla Unicorn while drunk and he wants it back. Franklin also states that the Armenian Mob got wind of the situation, have arrived at the place, and are guarding it. The player is free to sneak in the front or back entrance.
The player has to enter and find the safe while engaging with multiple members of the gang, which will be located in the back room of the Vanilla Unicorn. After finding the safe, they have to find the safe code located either at a lapdance alcove, near the pole dance stage or at the bar. Taking the safe code results in more reinforcements arriving at the strip club, so the player has to be careful.
Once the watch is taken, they have to deliver it back to the Agency while evading pursuing members. The player has to deliver it on foot, through the main entrance, to complete the mission. The Protagonist turns it in to Franklin in his office.
