The sworn enemies of the Triad, the Scorelli family are an entire clan of backstabbing, conniving, untrustworthy scumbags. And that's just what they think of themselves...

The Scorelli Crime Family is a cut organization scheduled to appear in Grand Theft Auto Advance.[1]

Description[]

The Scorelli Crime Family was originally intended to be one of the three Italian-Mafia families of Liberty City, prior to the introduction of the Sindacco Crime Family in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

They appear to have no links to the Leone Crime Family, although both share a rivalry with the Liberty City Triads. In the original concept for Grand Theft Auto Advance, the Scorelli Crime Family would have been the main antagonistic gang depending on the order of missions done by the player.

They were originally headquartered at an oil refinery in Portland as of 2000, with other hideouts around the island.

In the final version, the Scorelli Crime Family and all characters within the gang were entirely cut from the storyline. A single "Scorelli" character survived the final cut, although as an unseen character affiliated with the Southside Hoods gang.

History[]

Events of Grand Theft Auto Advance (2003)[]

In 2000, while searching for clues about the car bomb assassination of his best friend, Ned "The Kid" Braden (early iteration of Mike) starts working for Lee, the leader of the Liberty City Triads. At one point, the Kid discovers that his missing money was stolen by the Scorelli's boss.[2]

Under guidance of the Triads, the Kid blows up their main headquarters[3], kills every surviving Scorelli mobster and interrogates a number of members of the organization, before tracking down and killing their boss and retrieving the stolen money.[4]

Trivia[]

  • One of the characters within the gang, Vinnie, swapped names with key character Reg Dunlop in the final version, who was then rebranded as the main antagonist of the final storyline.
