Scope Out: Maze Bank Arena is a setup mission for The Duggan Robbery, featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Chop Shop update.
Description[]
The mission is started at the Planning Computer inside the Salvage Yard, and is available after choosing one of the target vehicles available.
This mission is the first preparation needed for The Duggan Robbery. The player is tasked to photograph and identify a few points of interest and send the images to Jamal's phone so he can setup a planning board at the Salvage Yard.
Jamal instructs the player to scope certain areas of the Maze Bank Arena in order to infiltrate the Duggans' private spectator box at the arena and steal the target vehicle being used in an Arena War show hosted by the Duggan family. The player must photograph the stadium's security, and the entrance to the Duggans' private box.
The player must also photograph the exit point, which is the entrance to the Arena Workshop. If the player owns an Arena Workshop, this intel gathering section is skipped.
With the photos received, Jamal suggests the player acquire some disguises to blend in with the spectators at the arena during the Arena War event, and get hold of some VIP passes in order to get access to the elevator to the private boxes. Jamal will also suggest to the player that they could escape through the Arena Workshop garage doors, but he reminds them of the immobilizers installed on the Arena War vehicles as a security measure. They'll need to find a device to turn the immobilizers off.
After the scoping is done, Jamal will tell the player to return to the Salvage Yard to see the planning board for The Duggan Robbery.
Once the mission is completed, the player does not need to do it again for any subsequent robbery replays. However, if the player wishes, they can repeat the mission as many times as they would like. Jamal will not give any further instructions in later attempts.
