Scope Out: Diamond Casino is a setup mission for The Podium Robbery, featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Chop Shop update.
Description[]
The mission is started at the Planning Computer inside the Salvage Yard, and is available after choosing one of the target vehicles available.
This mission is the first preparation needed for The Podium Robbery. The player is tasked to photograph and identify a few points of interest and send the images to Jamal's phone so he can setup a planning board at the Salvage Yard.
Jamal instructs the player to scope out certain areas of The Diamond Casino & Resort to be used as their entrance and exit points. The player must photograph the security tunnel under the racetrack to be used as their exit point, and the waste disposal entrance near The Music Locker to be used as their entry point.
With the photos received, Jamal suggests the player add gas masks to their list, as he's aware of the poison gas used as a security measure inside the casino. He also suggests they enter the casino disguised as a Los Santos Department of Sanitation worker to clean up "some kind of mess" they'll have to create by blowing up the toilets.
Once they're done, Jamal will tell the player to enter the casino and take a picture of the podium where the prize car is displayed. After receiving the photo, Jamal will immediately realize the storage facility used to store the prize cars is located right below the podium, as he has previously seen the casino blueprints at one of his many parties with Agatha Baker.
After the scoping is done, Jamal will tell the player to return to the Salvage Yard to see the planning board for The Podium Robbery.
Once the mission is completed, the player does not need to do it again for any subsequent robbery replays. However, if the player wishes, they can repeat the mission as many times as they would like. Jamal will not give any further instructions in later attempts.
