Sammy is a cut character scheduled to appear as a key character in Grand Theft Auto Advance.[2] He is the first iteration of the unnamed Bomber.
History[]
Background[]
Sammy is an explosives expert who owns a bomb shop in Shoreside Vale, Liberty City.
He is responsible for the car bomb incident in Portland which killed Reg Dunlop (early iteration of Vinnie), best friend of Ned "The Kid" Braden (early iteration of Mike).
Events of Grand Theft Auto Advance (2003)[]
After Reg's death in the car explosion, the Kid begins to work for 8-Ball, another explosives expert in the city, to search for clues on the identity of the bomber and the reason behind Reg's death. Eventually, he finds out through one of 8-Ball's former customers that the explosives expert behind Reg's death operates in Shoreside Vale.[3]
The Kid tracks down the bomber and locates his bomb shop. Upon confronting him, the bomber instantly recognizes the Kid and attempts to kill him with a weapon. The bomber is killed by the Kid, who begins impersonating him to find more clues through the bomber's own regular customers.[1]
During these jobs for the bomber's customers, the bomber is identified as Sammy[4], and it is revealed that he performed a similar car bomb assassination job for the Triads in Portland.[5]
Eventually, people close to Sammy realize he disappeared and figure out that the Kid isn't Sammy. The Kid is forced to escape Shoreside Vale and return to Portland to investigate the Triads.[6]
