The Russian Mafia is a cut organization scheduled to appear in Grand Theft Auto Advance.[1]

Description[]

The Russian Mafia of Liberty City is a crime syndicate led by former Soviet Secret Service operative Vladimir. They are enemies of the Yakuza and headquartered at a heavily secured compound in Staunton Island.

In the original concept for Grand Theft Auto Advance, the Russian Mafia would have been the main antagonistic gang depending on the order of missions played by the player.

History[]

Events of Grand Theft Auto Advance (2003)[]

In 2000, while searching for clues about the car bomb assassination of his best friend, Ned "The Kid" Braden starts working for the Yakuza under Asuka Kasen and Kenji Kasen. At one point, the Kid discovers that his missing money was stolen by the Russians.

Under guidance of the Yakuza, the Kid captures and kills high-ranking Russian member Boris, weakening the Russian gang.[2] Later, the Kid and the Yakuza members start scoping the Russian compound area in order to plan a hit and kill Vladimir. However, Vladimir manages to survive the Yakuza attack, but is eventually killed by the Kid while trying to escape with his stolen money.[3]
