The Imponte Ruiner ZZ-8 is a muscle car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Criminal Enterprises update, released on August 18, 2022, during the Ruiner ZZ-8 Week event.
Influence[]
The vehicle is primarily based on the 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird. The hood is based on the "Ram Air" hood from the WS6 performance package. The headlights seem to be slightly inspired by the Firebird package "SLP Trans Am Firehawk", but they follow the shape of the 1987 Pontiac Pursuit Concept. The front bumper is similar to the 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro, while the rear bumper is similar to the Duraflex ZR Edition Body Kit for the Camaro. Unlike its real-life counterpart, the Ruiner ZZ-8 does not include pop-up headlights.
Design[]
The design and profile of the car remain relatively similar to its older generation, albeit featuring a more modern styling and additional features. The front end has a slanted profile, with small intakes on the lower edges and a central section with a license plate in the center and dual intakes beside it. The turn signals can be seen on the bumper just above the outer intakes, while a set of modern headlights are seen on the hood area, which are divided into four sections and are located under small hatches that resemble pop-up headlights (though no animation is present). The hood area is predominated by dual intakes in the center, with a bulky profile that runs towards the cabin area.
On the sides, small exit vents are seen on the front and a set of marker lights on the rear, while the skirts have a slightly flared profile. The doors have numerous badges around the front and black horizontal handles, while the greenhouse area is mostly finished in a plastic trim and bears a painted C-pillar and a central frame on the roof area. The trunk lid mounts a large spoiler by default.
The rear end of the car features a plastic panel in the center with markings that read "IMPONTE" (originally being silver lettering on initial release, but later replaced with a debossed effect in the Los Santos Drug Wars update), while the outer sections have modernized tail lights with a hexagonal pattern, divided into outer main units and inner brake units, along with circular reverse lights located within the inner units. The center of the bumper features an inset area for the license plate, while the bottom has a plastic section with dual exit vents on either side and a central moulding for the twin wide exhaust tips. The interior is the same one from cars such as the 9F, the Rapid GT and the Adder.
The primary color of the car is applied to the body and the engine cam covers, while the secondary one is applied to the C-pillar. It shares the rim design with the I-Wagen.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Ruiner ZZ-8 has a great amount of power in terms of speed and acceleration, and has an incredibly tight turning radius as a result of its impeccable handling. Though, turning too hard and aggressively at moderate-to-high speeds will make it start spinning out, so light steering is recommended to avoid oversteer at medium-to-high speeds. Despite its strong build, it deforms quite easily due to its fragile bodywork from hard collisions.
The Ruiner ZZ-8 is powered by single-cam V8 engine, with the badges indicating it being turbocharged. It is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox in a front engine, rear-wheel drive layout, and the engine sound is the same as the one on the Dominator ASP.

- The "Tribal Flame" livery appears to be based on the 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Collector's Edition.
- The "Ruiner Bird" livery is a clear reference to the iconic phoenix livery of the Pontiac Firebirds.
- The "Redwood" livery appears to be based on the 1996 Pontiac Firebird IROC Racecar.
Oversights[]
