Rockridge is a neighborhood located in Vice City, Vice-Dale County, Leonida, that is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Description[]

Rockridge was first depicted in the Grand Theft Auto VI September 2022 leaks, seen on signage outside the Rockridge Community Research Center, a building seemingly inspired by the Miami Police Department South Substation in Riverside area of Miami, confirming the neighborhood's real life inspiration.^[1] A number of surrounding locations, including a small plaza consisting of a Bite! store, and the Fleeca Field stadium, can be seen in other clips.^[2]^[3]

Influence[]

The neighborhood appears to be based on the Riverside neighborhood in Miami, Florida. The name references a description used to advertise Riverside's land, "The Beautiful Ridge", owing to its verdant, elevated terrain close to the river. This characterization was established by the Tatum brothers - creators of the Lawrence Estate Land Company, who were responsible for developing some of Riverside's most important areas in the 1890s.
