Rico is a member of the Los Cabrones in 1986.
Events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City[]
Rico first appears watching Tommy Vercetti's performance in a test where he has to prove his usefulness to Umberto Robina by driving through a stunt course under a time limit in a speedboat
Later, Rico joins Vercetti in raiding a cocaine factory of a rival Haitian gang and stealing a van carrying cocaine from it. Rico appears for the last time in the mission Naval Engagement, where he takes Vercetti to a drug deal between members of The Sharks and the rival Haitian gang. After Vercetti kills all of the Sharks and Haitians in site, Rico drops him off on a dock near the deal-site. After this, several Haitians sail up to Rico and throw grenades at his boat, exploding it, but leaving Rico alive.
Rico's next and final appearance is during the mission Trojan Voodoo, where he and some of his fellow gang members, including Pepe and Vercetti, infiltrate the Haitian cocaine factory once more, this time with the plan to destroy it. Upon successfully infiltrating the compound of the factory, Rico and his fellow Cubans engage in a shootout with the Haitians, while Vercetti plants bombs in the factory. After planting the bombs, Vercetti manages to escape from the explosion, however, whether Rico escaped it or not is unknown.
