Richard Barnes was the international communications director at Rockstar International from 2004 to 2019.
Career[]
Barnes joined Rockstar in June 2004 as an international product manager.
He was credited as part of Rockstar London on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. He was later credited as part of the Rockstar Publishing Team on Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony and Grand Theft Auto V, and later as director of international communications on Grand Theft Auto Online.
While at Rockstar, he was also credited on Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis, Bully, The Warriors, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption II.
Barnes became a senior international PR manager in January 2008 and director of international communications in January 2017, before leaving Rockstar in August 2019.
