Raymond Allen Liotta, better known as Ray Liotta, was an American actor, producer and voice actor.
Career[]
Liotta is well known for his roles in films such as Field of Dreams, Goodfellas, Bee Movie, Hannibal, Cop Land, Muppets from Space, Charlie St. Cloud, No Escape, Blow, Muppets Most Wanted and The Many Saints of Newark.
He also appeared in TV shows such as Family Guy, Phineas and Ferb, The New Mike Hammer, Just Shoot Me!, Smith, ER, Hannah Montana, SpongeBob SquarePants, Frasier, Our Family Honor, Another World and NTSF:SD:SUV::.
He also appeared in the 1997 film Turbulence, alongside Lauren Holly.
He provided the voice of Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
On October 9th 2014, Ray Liotta posted a Q&A thread on Reddit a day before the release of his film Kill the Messenger. A user asked if he would like to reprise his role as Tommy Vercetti in a "GTA movie", to which he answered "I really would have loved to do that."[1]
On June 15th 2018, the YouTube channel Desus & Mero interviewed Ray Liotta and briefly talked about his role as Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.[2]
Ray Liotta died in his sleep on May 26, 2022, at the age of 67 in the Dominican Republic, during the filming of the movie Dangerous Waters.
