Random Characters[1] are side-missions for multiple characters in The Lost and Damned, often providing the player with a small bonus mission or objective.
Description[]
Their presence is indicated by a small blue person icon 
when within close proximity to the player. Upon unlocking the random character's mission, their location will appear on the minimap represented by a white person icon 
.
In The Lost and Damned, all Random Characters available are male. They provide Johnny Klebitz with small missions. They generally are in some problem and will ask for help.
The availability of certain Random Characters depends on the player's choice in the storyline missions – targets who can be optionally spared may appear as a Random Character in the future. In both cases, their specific missable missions are not required for 100% Completion.
After completing a first encounter, the player must wait from several in-game days to a week to trigger the second encounter (if available). To fast-forward in-game time, the player may use a safehouse and save the game multiple times.
