Rampages are challenges started via collectibles in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Description[]
There are a total of 30 Rampages (35 Rampages in the PlayStation 2 version) located all around Vice City, appearing as a rotating white skull pickup item, which the player must find and collect while on foot and not in an active mission to trigger the challenge.
If the player fails a Rampage, they are allowed to immediately restart it at its original spawn point. Upon completing a Rampage, the pickup will be replaced with a blue Rampage pickup, which indicates a previously completed Rampage and allows the player to replay it anytime.
Completing all Rampages is a requirement for the 100% completion.
Objectives[]
After starting the Rampage, the player's inventory will be locked to a specific weapon (with infinite ammo) provided for the challenge. The player is given the objective of reaching the target kill count within 2 minutes.
The kill count and time limit countdown are shown on the HUD while the Rampage is active. After the Rampage is completed/failed, the player's previous inventory items are restored.
The following objectives are given by the Rampages:
- Kill a specific number of gang members using the provided weapon in 2 minutes.
- Kill a specific number of gang members in a drive-by shooting with a submachine gun in 2 minutes.
- Run over a specific number of gang members in a player-chosen vehicle in 2 minutes.
- Destroy a specific number of vehicles using the provided weapon in 2 minutes.
Availability[]
The Rampages are available after completing Soldier. Completed Rampages can be tracked on the Pause Menu map in the "Show Discovered Extras: Rampages" section.
Rewards[]
Each completed Rampage rewards $50, multiplied by the number of Rampages completed. For example, the first Rampage offers $50; the second offers $100, the third offers $150, etc., and a bonus of $3,500 for completing all Rampages.
