The Raindance is a medium-sized helicopter featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The Raindance is based on the Sikorsky S-70, the civilian version of the famous UH-60 Blackhawk, with its livery modeled after the Los Angeles County Fire Department's colors.
The helicopter always spawns in a white body with yellow and blue stripes painted from the front to the back along the fuselage, as well as the Fire Department of San Andreas stencil on the sides, the FDSA logo on the engine covers and large identification numbers (always labeled as 371) on the side doors.
Despite its implied use by the Fire Department, the Raindance is never seen flying around San Andreas or otherwise being used or associated with the Fire Department.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
Despite the fact that it is slower than the Maverick or Sparrow, it is the best-handling helicopter in the game. Despite its size, it is only a two seater chopper.

Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The Raindance is available only after completing Learning to Fly.
- In Santa Maria Beach, south of the Santa Maria Beach Safehouse and west of the red marker where the player can begin the Beat The Cock triathlon.
- In Easter Bay Airport, in the northern part near the tunnel entrance, beside a Leviathan and the control tower. Both helicopters are present since the beginning of the game; however, they are locked. Learning to Fly must be completed to unlock them.
- At the top of the San Fierro Medical Center in Santa Flora, next to the Maverick.
Trivia[]
- The helicopter's name is a reference to a tribal ritual of dancing to summon rain from the sky, since it's a fire department chopper and presumably equipped with water tanks to put out fires (non-functional in the game).
