RailCover-GTAV-Model

Model of the Rail Cover.

The Rail Cover is an attachment that was originally to be featured in Grand Theft Auto V, but was cut for unknown reasons.

Description[]

The Rail Cover was an exclusive accessory for the Carbine Rifle, presumably intended to provide more grip. It can briefly be seen in the second trailer, in the scene from the mission The Jewel Store Job. As Michael smashes the jewel casings with the Carbine Rifle's stock, one can see the original model with full-length side rails (in contrast to the short rails from the final model) and equipped with the Rail Covers (given the rather bulky profile).

The Rail Cover is listed in the same attach point as the Flashlight[1], and the HUD would show a slight increase on the weapon's range[2]. Its model can also be found in the files, though it appears with a rather blurry texture, likely because it was unfinished.
