The Coil Raiden is a four-door electric sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Doomsday Heist update.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The car seems to be heavily based on the pre-facelift 2012-2015 Tesla Model S, with the taillights similar to that of the second generation Aston Martin Vanquish.
The Raiden is depicted as a four-door sports car with very similar styling to the Jackal, a 4-door coupe. The front of the car has a small lip at the bottom that spans the car's width and passes above a central mesh intake, while a small insert can be seen below the central intake to form a trapezium shape. Slightly above the bottom, there is an inset area that also spans most of the car's width, along with a rectangular mesh grille centered on the car. On the upper area, the central area is predominated by the main mesh grille, which has an almost hexagonal shape with a curved upper side, and bears the Coil logo on the center. Towards the sides, the car uses narrow headlights with black surroundings, each one consisting of triangular and circular main lights, triangular turn signals and modern strips above the housings and below the inner main lights. The hood is relatively bulky and opens to reveal a spacious luggage compartment.
The sides of the car are mostly traditional in design, featuring silver/chrome details around the front fenders and concave formations passing through the doors, below the handles. The skirting area also adopts a concave shape passing through the sides, being more prominent below the rear doors. On the greenhouse area, the car makes use of chrome trims around the side door windows and black sections around the windshield, inner side pillars, sunroof and rear windows. Mirror shells can be also seen mounted near the A-pillars.
The rear of the car is rounded, featuring a small ducktail spoiler on the upper side and C-shaped tail lights on the outer sides. On the center of the trunk, there is a chrome strip bearing silver "COIL" lettering on it, along with the corresponding Coil emblem above. The bumper has a dedicated section for the license plate, along with a sloped bottom side.
The interior of the car is reused from cars like the FMJ and the Tempesta, obviously altered to fit into the sedan layout. However, it uses a dedicated dial set, which retains the speedometer markings from the "FMJ" dial set and replaces the tachometer with a "Kw" dial. A predominant vertical multimedia display sits in the centre of the dashboard in similar fashion to the real Tesla Model S. Amusingly, the onboard computer features a disc player.
The primary color of the car is applied on the bodywork, while the secondary one is applied on the lower portions of the car. The car uses a set of rims identical to the "Lozspeed Mk.v" sport rims available in Los Santos Customs, wrapped in low-profile tires.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
For an electric sports sedan, the Raiden has phenomenal takeoff when accelerating after coming to a full stop. It also has good handling and a great top speed, along with its good turning radius. It can also accelerate fast when reversing. Durability is quite fragile, however, and its body panels fall off rather easily in the event of a rollover, and it is not too great in dealing with collisions and gunfire either.
Both the hood and the trunk lack a battery compartment inside, which could indicate that the battery cell is located underneath, much like the real-world Model S. Each axle has two block-shaped components housing the electric motors, explaining the AWD layout (with 35% of the power delivered to the front wheels and the rest to the rear ones). When damaged enough, smoke will emit from both the front and rear of the vehicle. As with other electric vehicles, the car emits a quiet sound, which is clearly heard in quiet areas with the radio off.
