The PlayStation 2, or PS2, is Sony's successor to the original PlayStation (PS1). It features an improved CPU, better graphics, online gaming capabilities for certain games, two USB ports, two Memory Card ports and two DualShock ports.
The PS2 was superseded by the PlayStation 3 in 2006, and then discontinued in Late 2012/Early 2013 worldwide. The PS2 had ultimately sold more than 150 million units, beating the 100 million record set by the original PlayStation. New copies of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy for the PS2 continue to be sold at Walmart in the U.S.[ref?ref?This fact is likely to be disputed and needs a source for confirmation.]
